Cardamon is one of the oldest spices and it has been used by various ancient cultures. It has a strong aroma and you can use it in savory or even pastry recipes. Cardamom or "kakoule" is one of the finest spices in the world. In Greece they use it to make the traditional, aromatic Greek bread tsoureki.
